This verse in Jeremiah holds so much promise. God listens to us & He encourages us to talk to Him. He also encourages us to LISTEN to HIM [through His Holy Word and through hearts which are open to Him].
Kip and I have been learning and experiencing how personal God is and we have felt His Holy Spirit guide us -- there is no doubt about that. God wants us to be proactive, but there are times when we are humanly limited and we need to surrender what we cannot do to Him. Many times His answer blows us away--it is complete and far beyond what we could have ever done on our own.
When life's seas becomes overwhelming, He lifts us up so we can look directly to Him once again. And He is right there.
This week's inspiration: Make an effort to write down the times you have experienced God speaking to your heart. You may be very surprised!
"Call to ME and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33: 3 NIV
Always remember to count your blessings, great or small for whatever you receive is a gift from the Lord. Gifts are meant to be unwrapped and shared with others.
So count your blessings with a grateful heart, and share your blessings with open hands.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4: 10 NIV
How many blessings can you share with others this week?
'TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!
[Louisa M. R. Stead, 1882]
This Favourite Hymn has come to mind so many times recently. I grew up hearing my Mom softly singing it. It quickly became a treasured jewel in my life's treasure-chest. Thank you Mom. Remember, no matter what you encounter on your journey in life, there is no one more faithful and more trustworthy
than the Lord Jesus.
Blessings on your week ahead :-) K.
Here we are. At the final chapter of my book on Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and God's Faithfulness. My prayer is that lives have been drawn to the Lord through Christ for the very first time---or that lives already dedicated to Him have surrendered once again to His Lordship, regardless of circumstances: physical, emotional, relational or material.
This final chapter is not the end......it is really a springboard to a solid, faith-filled future with Almighty God. Each one of us is worth more than this world can put a price on. We are God's children---heirs to His Kingdom---FOREVER.
"God has not placed a "conditions" sticker on my life that reads, 'This life will lose its value if scratched, broken, disfigured or damaged in any way, rendering it worthless.' Circumstances, often beyond our control, do scratch, damage and break us emotionally, physically and spiritually.
[But] God sees no disability. He does not turn away or remain distant because I am "different." In fact, He sees me the way He has always seen me, as His creation [and His precious child]." [parenthesis added]

WORTHY: PRICELESS, TREASURED, INVALUABLE, IRREPLACEABLE.
Humans tend to have a much different view than God regarding what is valuable and worthy. God tells us in His Word that each human being is of enormous worth and value to God.
We don't have to climb a legalistic ladder of "good deeds" nor is there a statue or man-made image that can determine our spiritual future. It does not matter whether we have very little or an abundance of material possessions. Disabilities do not make us less valuable to God. We are all equal in God's sight and Christ settled that when He paid the ultimate price for mankind's sin, opening the way to Eternal Life for each of us.
Because of this, the curtain between God and mankind was broken, enabling direct access to Almighty God--any time, any where. God's love for us can have no clearer or more powerful characterization than that!
God sees us as His children. We need direction, guidance and love. We must depend on HIM to show us what He expects of us, and then we must move forward to accomplish HIS Purpose.
Ephesians 4: 8-10 says, "Live as children of light [for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth] and find out what pleases the Lord." [NIV]
To reflect Jesus, we need to have confidence in who we are. We need to recognize our worth in Christ; it is crucial to serving others. Respect for who we are, exactly as we are, radiates Christ's life in ours.
The simplistic truth of the Christian faith is discovered in the understanding that God reaches down to us, His children. He meets us where we are at. If we fall, He gently picks us up. If we sin, then genuinely confess and repent of that sin, He readily forgives us. In fact, we become justified through the blood of Jesus. I looked up the difference between justified and forgiveness when writing this section in my book: More than forgiven, justification declares that the sin itself is no longer remembered by our Lord. The slate is clear and untarnished.
Wow!!! Can you grasp the enormity of how much your life is worth? God alone is perfect and He has done what no other can to declare His incredible love for you!!
The plan and purpose for my life and yours has been designed so intricately there can be no doubt of our immense worth to God Almighty. We are not orphans; rather we are heirs to the eternal Kingdom of God. Nothing on earth can even come close. When we claim Him as Lord of our lives, and trust Him in all circumstances along our life's journey, our eternal inheritance is secure....forever.
YOU are His child! I am His child! Each one of us IS worthy in His eyes!
"The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." [Romans 8: 16-17 NIV]
I urge you to look beyond, far beyond what is humanly understandable for God is infinite. Discover what it means to fully trust Almighty God with your most precious asset---your life. Let the Light of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit guide you to exhilarating summit of possibilities and victories.
"May the God of hope FILL you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15: 13 NIV
