FAITH LIVES HERE
When Fear Seems Strong
And Threatens To Destroy
Faith In God Makes It Powerless
When Fear Brings Doubt
And Whispers Words Untrue
Faith In God Illuminates Truth
So When Fear Knocks
At The Door Of Your Heart
Let Faith Answer
For Faith Will Be Bold
When God's Light Fills Your Life
And Fear Will Be No More

FALL has arrived. Kip often says, "October is my favourite colour." I love that phrase. It is a season of change and what happens in nature is stunning: beautiful warm colours replace green leaves, the air is crisper and there is a special scent created by both of those changes which is intoxicating to me.
Kip and I stood on this bridge a few years ago. It was so peaceful and calm yet so vibrant and invigorating. As I settled down to prepare this post yesterday, I couldn't seem to come up with a "message" that seemed suitable. How do you find words when surrounded by a tapestry of beauty such as this?
I visually stepped into this photo and walked onto the bridge remembering how beautiful it all was. I stopped. A favourite song popped into my head as well as a favourite line in it: "Show me how to grow in beauty in God's sight."
As I recalled standing on that bridge I slowly took my time to really SEE the intense beauty around me. THIS is God's masterpiece. And so are we. But He designed and created US for communion with Him--for a relationship with Him which supersedes even the miracle of this natural beauty in His world. Within seconds I penned the words on this colourful image.
THIS is my personal prayer...I soooo want to grow in beauty in GOD'S sight. I want my life to be infused with His love--so I can love when it's hard to, I can love those I don't know and I can love unselfishly. It is only then, when HIS love saturates me to the very core of who I am, that I can share the wondrous beauty of His Touch in my life.
In John 17: 25,26 Jesus said: "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."
May His love fill you in a powerful way--May you reflect the beauty of His touch in your life.
Blessings to each of you~~

As Fall begins to settle in the air gets crisp, the rain falls and the wind blows. Yet it is my favourite time of year.
I love the changes Fall brings. As Kip and I drove into town for a breaky date this morning I thought of my girlfriend Lill whom I've known since Gr. 3. Whenever the Fall season approaches I think of her. She and I used to LOVE piling up crispy leaves which had fallen, then jump into the middle of them only to do it time and time again. The autumn air stirs up those wonderful memories. Our friendship has remained strong through the years and she was soooo there for me when my Mom was in Hospice then went Home with Jesus 2 years ago. Lill was with me on Mom's final night--it was not any easy night, yet she was right there.
Those memories made me further reflect on all the blessings in my life. Lill is definitely a shimmering jewel in my treasure chest of really close friendships....she has been for many decades. So many times, my heart spills over with gratitude and love for other amazing and beautiful women who have helped, and still help shape my life throughout the years. Each one of them are a gift from God and I cherish them enormously.
God has blanketed my life with countless blessings and it's important to remember them--each and every one. My sweetie Kip is my greatest blessing hands down---he and I are an awesome team and I believe God knew that when he introduced us at a youth group baseball game. Kip was 1st baseman [I think that's what it's called--:-)]--I hit the ball and slid onto 1st base. He looked down at me and said, "No one slides onto 1st base!" I said, "I do---and, I'm safe!" He kind of liked the spunk from what I understand ;-)
When life throws you a curve-ball and it seems to take you out-of-bounds, sit in a quiet place and write down every single blessing in your life [that you can remember]---present and past. Then thank God for them. While you're at it, thank God for absolutely every provision He has blessed you with whether it's relationships, a home, a great job, food on the table, a bed to sleep in, good teeth, eyes or ears---whatever!!!!
God delights in blessing you!!! He will never stop blessing you! You are His child, and He blesses you with much more than you are even aware of! Sometimes I shake my head in awe at various things He's done--things only He can do---making things right when it seems they are all going wrong. "Life" can often keep the Son from shining through. Open your eyes and your heart to see His hand in your life for He loves you unconditionally and will show you in many ways.
So as you celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend, remember to take time to open your heart before God with a prayer of gratitude. You are blessed by Him every single day. As you begin your heart will overflow--the Son will shine again for His blessings are immeasurable.
"Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them they would be too many to declare." Psalm 40: 5 NIV
Blessings on your Thanksgiving weekend.
